The first giant pandas arrived in America in 1937. Richard Steiff, who was living in America at the time, immediately began designing. Our Steiff archivist confirms that on 12.01.1938 the very first design was applied for and Steiff was thus the first toy manufacturer to offer a panda. Since then, they have remained in the range, which proves their popularity. Now the heritage of Steiff meets the future of Steiff. Please applaud the panda bear as he joins the “Teddies for tomorrow” collection. Evander delights in its alternative material of woven plush made of soy bamboo viscose. Its soles and paws are also made of soy bamboo viscose, and it is filled with PES fibers from recycled PET bottles. Evander is a wonderful addition to this new series.‎
